Final Specifications for the Dashpc/Dashwerks Startup & Shutdown Circuit: Stage 1 - Pre-delay This is an adjustable time delay of 0-10 seconds before any DPC outputs are turned on. The variable delay is controlled by Pot P. If Acc/Valet is turned off during this stage, DPC powers down without taking any action. If Acc/Valet remains on for the entire delay period, program execution moves to Stage 2... Stage 2 - PowerUp Relay C is immediately turned on. After a 1 second delay, relay B is pulsed on for ~1 second. Delay periods A1 and A2 then begin. Delay A1 and delay A2 are independently adjustable from 0 to 50 seconds by Pot A1 and Pot A2. At the end of delay period A1, relay A1 turns on. At the end of delay period A2, relay A2 turns on. Delay period A1 may be longer, shorter, or the same as delay A2. If Acc/Valet is switched off during this stage, all relays are immediately turned off, and DPC powers down. This stage is completed when both A1 and A2 have turned on, and program execution then continues to Stage 3... Stage 3 - On The A1, A2, and C relays, which were turned on previously, remain on. Acc/Valet input is checked 100 times/second. When Acc/Valet goes off, program execution moves to Stage 4... Stage 4 - PowerDown Relays A1 and A2 are immediately turned off. An adjustable delay of 0-20 minutes begins, which is controlled by Pot B. At the end of this delay, relay B is pulsed on for ~1 second and "SHUTDOWN" is sent to the serial port at 9600,N,8,1 (9600 Baud). Next, a delay of 10-60 seconds begins, which is controlled by Pot C. At the end of this delay, relay C is turned off, and the DPC powers down. Stage 4 questions: 1) Is the "SHUTDOWN" serial output sent before or after the ~1 second B pulse? 2) What action should be taken (if any) if Acc/Valet goes back on during the "Pot B" delay? 3) ...or during the subsequent B pulse? 4) ...or during the Pot C delay (after the B pulse but before power down)? Terminal Strip Connections: 1 - Ground 2 - (in) B+ from Acc Switch 3 - (in) B+ from Valet switch 4 - (in) B+ from Relay C 5 - (out) Switched B+ from Relay A1 (2 Amp) 6 - (out) Switched B+ from Relay A2 (2 Amp) 7 & 8 - (out) SPST contacts from relay B (low current) 9 - (out) Control output for Relay C coil (switch to ground) Additional Connections: DB-9 and header connector for serial output
