n this website I hightlight how I built my carputer: the DashPC. The Linux based carputer project began it's development in 1999. At present, it delivers multimedia (DVDs, MP3s, CDs, Radio), Navigation, Games, Engine Diagnostics, and Wireless Networking capability. The system seen here was built using using: Linux from Scratch. The DashPC platform is interfaced via multiple input methods - key among them are: 6.4" LCD Touchscreen, wireless remote control, and a vehicle friendly handheld wireless keyboard with pointing device. The DashPC telematics platform is one of the most advanced carputers around. DashPC technology will work in virtually any vehicle. These DashPC prototype vehicles feature Global Positioning and Navigation (GPS), Digital Versatile Discs (DVDs), and an OBDII on-board engine interface. Dashwerks technology includes such advanced features as Geocasting, AODV, VANETS, and V2V communication. Unlike other vehicle infotainment systems, the DashPC™ was designed to be simple to use in a vehicle environment, while simultaneously offering powerful expansion capability (because of our RTOS Linux core).

Please Note: My carputer was designed for the enjoyment of my passengers.
